My career has been marked by significant contributions to the field, including the first implementation of a cache attack on the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) in 2004. This groundbreaking work led to major vendors like Intel and AMD enhancing their processors to protect against such attacks. I have also developed VHDL implementations that are currently safeguarding highly classified data on NATO drones since 2013. In addition to my work on AES, I authored the NIST CAVP validated AlpCode Cryptographic Library, which features all-constant-time algorithms designed to protect classified elliptic curves from timing attacks. My research has garnered over 4600 citations, reflecting my commitment to advancing cryptographic techniques and security measures. Throughout my career, I have worked with various organizations, including Shoki GmbH and the University of Luxembourg, where I optimized GPU implementations of cryptographic algorithms. I have a strong academic background, holding a PhD in Cryptology from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and an MSc in Informatics from the University of Bergen.
