Responsible for the strategic direction and delivery of more than 800 Employment Law and Health and Safety events per annum, providing an educational platform (and service offering) for all businesses across the UK. Significant achievements included:

➢ Full event program restructure decreasing operational spend by 22% per annum.
➢ Complete marketing audit and restructure reducing marketing spend by £1m in the first year whilst increasing event attendance by an average of 40%
➢ Taking full responsibility for the sales teams (over 100 sales professionals) training and development within the events vertical.
➢ Increasing event return from an average of 0.7 conversions per event to 2.7 conversions per event
➢ Became a targeting hitting team within 6 months (no targets hit for 4 years prior)

2016/2018 Group Sales Director @ Datacenter Dynamics

Datacentre Dynamics is a fast-paced conference/confex events business delivering high level strategic content to the Datacentre market. As Head of Sales my key achievements were as follows:

➢ Re-developed an underperforming sales team through training and the implementation of new business incentives.
➢ Led from the front in new business development with US$450,000 contracted in Q1 of 2017
➢ The resurrection of 2 failing events in NAM
➢ Setting new operational procedures linking internal teams to improve communication and operational delivery
➢ Increase in event attendance of more than an average of 70% across the portfolio

I left the business on course to deliver above the annual target of US$9.5m showing 15% growth compared to 2016 figures

2014/2016 Event Director @ Closer Still Media

CloserStill Media is an award winning events business operating in multiple sectors including Technology, Healthcare, Veterinary and Retail. This role saw me responsible for the continued development of an international portfolio of Data Centre events within the technology sector, including the UK’s largest independent technology show, Data Centre World.

The key elements of my role entail:

➢ Full budget/profit and loss responsibility (grown from £650,000 to £2.3m per annum)
➢ Business plan development and execution
➢ The management of 10 personnel across multiple divisions including sales, operations and marketing
➢ Key account management and sales delivery through extensive & intricate tenders
➢ Operations and marketing delivery across all media platforms
➢ Supplier negotiation, management and delivery

The Data Centre World portfolio is now global with events in London, Frankfurt and Singapore. These are commonly known as community based events delivering the entire DC eco-system and as such have now become a must attend for the entire market.
