For the past 20 years, I have been working in some kind of customer support capacity. I have a passion for solving problems and ensuring each customer is fully taken care of. The bulk of the writing I’ve done over the same period has been directed toward the same endβ¦ to satisfy the needs of the customer.
It is difficult to find new business so once that has been done, it is of utmost importance to ensure their satisfaction.
I go to great lengths to be absolutely certain (regardless of the format; writing, phone, email, or chat) that all questions are answered and problems solved.
I have learned that the most important part of customer service is to listen and fully understand. That is what I have spent the last 20 years doing. I’ll spend the next 20 doing it even better.
