β’Plans, establishes, and implements various events, e.g., meetings, conferences, educational
symposia, galas, and other major events, either off-site or on-site, for the Law School.
β’Serves as principal liaison between contractors, caterers, administrators, faculty and staff with regards
to all facets of the logistical operations and support of multiple programs and events.
β’Negotiates terms and administers various contracts with vendors for services, in accordance with the
Law Schoolβs budget constraints, and within the stated policies and procedures.
β’Participates in the determination of requirements as to space, facilities, equipment, lodging, catering,
transportation, and on-site management and recommends associated budget/cost proposals for such
events to ensure cost effectiveness.
β’Serves as a consultant to the Law Schoolβs students, faculty and staff on matters pertaining to planning
and management of internal and external events.
β’ Supports all online Meetings, Events, Symposiums, and Colloquiums.
β’ Research, selects, and secures event venues nationally, internationally, and coordinates registration
sites and attendee lists.
β’ Maintains an active role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple types of
events vital to Georgetown University Law Center’s Mission.
β’ Supervises, trains, and cross-trains Administrative Assistant, student workers, and volunteers prior to
and during events. Advise Student Group Leaders and advocate on their behalf.
β’ Acting liaison between clients, vendors, and various departments for web-based invites, registration
platforms, and event list management. Utilizes ZOOM, Webex, Google Meetings, CRM, EMS, GMS,
CVent, Workday, PeopleSoft, Catertrax, Social Tables, and various other software applications.
β’ Works directly with the Deanβs Office faculty, staff, students, Development and Alumni Affairs, as well
as Yellow Ribbon participants, and other departments within the Law Center and Main Campus.
β’ Negotiates contracts with hotels and resorts as well as coordinating the activities of various vendors
providing services during an event.
