β’ Office Administrator β Greeting and check in patients, collect balances and co-payments, obtaining prior authorizations, verifying insurance coverage, documenting billing for allergy serums on Electronic Health Record (EHR)- practice manager, scheduling patients, courtesy reminder calls, prepping schedule for provider and nurse. Effectively communicating information with receptionists at remote locations.
β’ Medical Assistant- Administering allergy injections to patients as directed by provider, tracking dosages with every visit as directed by provider, medication refills, verifying inventory is stocked, patient information on how to do self-administrations at home as needed. Rooming patients for provider for follow up appointments as needed. Faxing prescriptions as directed by provider. Documenting inventory of allergy serums and dosage charts, and communicating with LPN when patient is due for new vials of serum.
Assist provider with patient intake, obtaining vitals and document on EHR, medication reconciliation, assist and escorting patients for X-rays. Refilling medications via phone and fax, calling insurance for prior authorizations and documenting authorization numbers, triage-which included critical decision making and briefing provider on post-operative patients that needed medical advice on pain medications, home treatments, and when they should seek urgent care, restocking supplies in examination rooms, relaying lab and diagnostic imaging results via phone to patients, mentor and train externs/interns and monitor their work, report issues and concerns to MA lead, providers and management as needed.
Greeting patients, collecting co-pays, insurance verification, prior authorization, scheduling, answering multi-line phone, documenting and scanning into EHR (Electronic Health Records), room patient, obtain vials, medication reconciliation, medication refill, send referrals, specimen collection, EKG, administering injections, triage, scribe, record keeping, sanitizing/sterilizing tools and equipment as detailed in protocol via autoclave.
