I have 15 years of experience in making complex mathematical and statistical concepts comprehensible through clear communication, accessibility centered presentation, and best practice aligned visuals. With over a decade of using data, problem-solving, and critical thinking to benefit individual students, I am seeking opportunities to bring academic advantage to aggregations of students, educators, and administrators through data-driven insights.
Projects:
Education Project 1) I led the development and management of a comprehensive project plan aimed at analyzing the K8 MAPs Growth Assessment data. The primary objectives were to assess the effectiveness of the current instructional methods, identify areas for improvement, and gather evidence to support the continuation of the existing program.
The project proved strengths in 13/48 (27%) of categories and 48/173 (28%) of subcategories of assessments and weaknesses in 3/48 (6%) of categories and 6/173 (3%) of subcategories as evidence of program effectiveness and areas for improvement which were used as evidence to stakeholders that the program should be maintained and improved. The outcomes of this analysis were presented to key stakeholders, including school administration, the Board of Directors, and the leadership of the school district.
Education Project 2) Collected and analyzed student surveys across four quarters of the school year to assess the difficulty levels of different assignment types as math classes progressed. The purpose of this project was to access and adapt methodology over the course of the year. Changes to the classes were made on a quarterly bases in response to the results of this analysis. As a result of this data-driven adaptive approach, final responses showed average improvement in student responses.
Eduation Project 3) Collected and analyzed data on the popularity of math support class times and types across four quarters of the school year to inform future decisions about when and how to offer math support classes.
Political Science Project 4) Analyzed the relationship between governance indicators in democratic countries and their happiness scores through multiple regression analysis.
