Responsibilities included covering social, legal, financial and political news in the National News department and interviews and investigative reporting at the features section, including three years as court reporter at the Tokyo District and High Courts.

As assistant Manager, Passenger Services and Planning Airport Operations, my responsibilities included setting up passenger handling arrangements at new international destinations in Europe and Oceania (flights such as Narita-Moscow-Paris, Kansai-Rome, Narita-Brisbane-Sydney), negotiations and passenger service coordination with joint operation partners such as Austrian Airlines and SABENA, implementation and evaluation of international passenger service standards, establishing, implementing and evaluating new passenger, baggage handling policies and service standards with international airlines e.g. at IATA, SITA and EDS conferences.
