➢ Scheduling appointments and creating new patient accounts to establish care with us.
➢ Practicing HIPAA for patient information safety

➢ Scheduling patients for surgery.
➢ Obtaining referrals from doctors’ office for visit.
➢ Insurance verification & confirming appointments.
➢ Maintaining communication with hospital facilities for surgery day.

➢ Obtaining lab orders, Medicare cards and other commercial insurances, and IDs
from patients.
➢ Verifying Medicare compliance, proper ICD 10 codes pertaining to lab test order &
doctor NPI.
➢ Performing blood draws, spinning down specimens in centrifuge and packaging
properly for courier pick up.
➢ Clinical: Phlebotomy.

➢ Spinning down specimen in the centrifuge for techs to test on.
➢ Logging in all specimens from ER and floors into the system.
➢ Answering phones and expediting calls to different departments in the lab.
➢ Distributing lab reports to hematology and chemistry department.

➢ Ordering and canceling lab tests.
➢ Spinning down specimens in the centrifuge for techs.
