PK, the experience engineering firm, is actively looking for a Java API Developer to join our team as a full-time employee.

PK is open to remote locations, excluding Colorado.


  • Analysis, design, implement, experience projects.
  • Take initiative in solving complex business and/or technical problems.
  • Prototyping of new solution frontend and backend components and frameworks.
  • Adhere to and/or develop and maintain standards and Best Practices including governance, operating model and solutions.
  • Continuous learning of languages, platforms and frameworks.
  • Strong collaboration and transparency with others across organizational.
  • Demonstrated expertise of multiple domains across the applications and technical architectures, including the inter-relationships and interfaces between systems and technologies.
  • Provides insight into recommendations for technical solutions that meet design and functional needs.
  • Translates business requirements and functional specifications into physical program designs, code modules, stable application systems, and software solutions.
  • Assists in identification of specific interfaces, methods, parameters, procedures, and functions, as required, to support technical solutions.
  • Builds and maintains trusting relationships with stakeholders.
  • Reviews and validates technical specifications and documentation.
  • Identifies specific interfaces, methods, parameters, procedures, and functions to support technical solutions while incorporating architectural designs.


  • Java 8+ with REACTJS
  • Spring boot, Kafka, Spring data JPA
  • Packaging JAR, JDBC
  • Oracle, Mongo, PostgreSQL, SQL
  • DevOps automation through Jenkins
  • Cucumber for automated testing
  • PCF Deployment, Splunk
  • SonarQube and other Static analysis tool(Checkmarx)
  • JavaScript, React, JQuery, Bootstrap3
  • Experience deploying Java/Spring boot applications
  • Test Automation & DevOps practices
  • Candidates with extensive development in other Web-based UI frameworks will work but should be willing to prove they can rapidly adopt work with REACT concepts.
  • RESTful API’s, GIT
  • The ideal candidate has extensively worked with public RESTful interfaces and can describe the tenets of REST, compare REST to SOAP, and describe REST best practices
  • Security
  • A good candidate should understand the tenets of protecting client data in motion and at rest as well as different techniques for authenticating and authorizing clients/consumers of service data.
  • The ideal candidate has performed primary product development with GIT-based source control solutions (GitHub, Gitlab, etc.)
  • The ideal candidate should understand concepts such as rebasing, squashing, cherry-picking, and tagging.
