Job Responsibilities

As the Digital Marketing Specialist, Owned Media, you will be primarily responsible for the Search Engine Optimization and Content program for Viasat’s B2C and B2B broadband services in the United States. Focused on customer acquisition and building organic keyword rank, this role applies content and SEO best practices to take advantage of organic search engine marketing opportunities and generate website traffic and sales by driving conversions.

Working within Viasat’s Global Fixed Broadband, United States business unit, this role manages the content, creative, promotions, brand, and reporting for residential and small business internet service customer acquisition through web pages and optimizing for Organic Search. You will be accountable for developing, communicating, and the ongoing management/optimization of specialized Viasat.com website pages to support the overall digital marketing strategy. The ideal candidate will be passionate about content marketing and have a strong search engine marketing background to help drive Organic Search growth through content management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the targeted SEO digital marketing program within the US Residential and Small Business broadband organization, focusing on Local SEO and performance of the Organic Search channel.
  • Work with a team of skilled marketing professionals to drive organic search traffic and maximize sales performance.
  • Elevate the content marketing strategy for the B2C and B2B broadband business, identifying key similarities and differences in digital customer journeys across residential and small business personas and target segments.
  • Collaborate within the US and Global digital marketing teams to effectively drive all aspects of digital marketing, seeking synergy with ecommerce, owned media, offline channels, brand, and creative teams, establishing strong communication and partnership.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure KPIs are communicated, driving results and recommendations for improving incremental performance.
  • Maintain current and accurate knowledge of SEO and content best practices and strategies, offering thought leadership within the organization.
  • Assess and recommend revisions to website creative and landing pages, supporting the culture of testing and optimization.
  • Proactively review, analyze, report, and communicate performance data and insights while suggesting recommendations to improve keyword ranking, organic traffic, and sales.

Requirements

  • 3+ years digital marketing experience, managing website content and/or Search Engine Optimization for a B2C and/or B2B telecom, technology, services, or subscription-based company.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.
  • Experience with Conductor or other SEO platforms, SEMrush or other keyword research tools, and Adobe Experience Manager or other content management systems.
  • Conductor Certification (or similar), Adobe Experience Manager preferred.
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics, A/B testing tools a plus.
  • Excellent organizational project management and communications skills with a strong attention to detail and self-motivated.
  • Ability to build relationships, work across departments and business units, building consensus and delivering upon stated objectives.
  • A consistent record of driving follow-through, leading a program from conception through completion, and willing to seek guidance as needed.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to drive actions from large data sets.
  • Problem solving ability and consideration of process improvements.
  • Ability to write concise and clear guidance or summaries based on insights.
  • Strong copywriting and proofreading skills preferred, multi-lingual a plus
