We’re looking for candidates with a solid foundation in program management (PM) fundamentals, a proven track record of driving customer success, experience with Executive communications, and a passion for cloud-native technologies.

This role is a co-leader of one of our technology domains inside the Infrastructure commercial solution area: Platforms and Services. The tech domains are teams of people with deep subject matter expertise who work with Microsoft’s and our customers’ teams to accelerate our code-with engagements, scale our capabilities through re-usable assets, and influence our platforms through feedback and customer insights. The PM lead of a tech domain is a product owner of the scenarios we invest in and is responsible for leveraging our work to help all of Microsoft and our customers.

Responsibilities

Drive tech domain scenarios to deliver well-defined assets that generate immediate customer value and high-quality, broadly applicable software contributions to Microsoft products and to open-source communities
Influence product roadmaps by developing relationships with product teams, sharing insights and data from customer engagements, and driving executive communication.
Scale impact by identifying top priorities for in-demand subject matter experts, manage backlog and assets that help scale top customer patterns, and accelerate developer success by building trust and sharing cross-organizational best practices.
Participate in hands-on coding activities to maintain up-to-date technical knowledge.
Understand common cloud architecture patterns and trade-offs, best practices for cloud engineering, developer productivity issues, etc.
Contribute to a collaborative culture that embraces inclusivity and diversity
Drive excellence in program management fundamentals to build our shared best-practices

Qualifications

We are seeking people who have experiences which reflect the qualifications below:

Required Qualifications:

5+ years program management experience, including shipping complex production systems that run on a public cloud
3+ years experience working with cloud computing technologies
Track record of working closely with agile and diverse engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong program management (PM) experience in managing customer relationships and engagements, software development projects, plus triaging and managing priorities
Deep understanding of cloud services and architecture, including business drivers and emerging trends across Microsoft and non-Microsoft technologies
Proficiency with container systems Docker and container orchestration Kubernetes
Proven track record of delivering impact as a product/program owner
Proficiency in creating technical reports, white papers, or case studies
Experience working within and directing geographically dispersed, diverse, and virtual teams
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or the equivalent
Enjoy travel and comfortable with regional travel up to 25%
