Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and the Wolfram Language, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Incremental Front End Testing Developer to be a part of its QA & IQD department. An ideal candidate would have strong debugging skills and good code analysis acumen and would enjoy improving code quality. This position requires fluency in English and strong programming, communication and code review skills.

Responsibilities

  • Helping write and maintain automated front end tests for Mathematica and related products
  • Investigating and reporting front end bugs
  • Helping test new front end features
  • Creating new tools to increase the efficiency of front end testing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, physics or a related technical or quantitative field
  • Experience in the C and C++ programming languages
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with different operating systems, including Linux

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in the Wolfram Language
  • Experience in source control systems, such as Git, Stash and CVS
  • Experience working in Workbench/Eclipse or other IDE development tools
  • Experience using project tracking tools, such as Jira
  • Experience in the software development cycle and testing methodologies

Location: Champaign, Illinois, or Remote
