Osano is hiring a Content Strategist. This role will be key in shaping Osano’s messaging, identifying content marketing opportunities, and owning how we measure our success. The ideal candidate is a creative + experienced content marketer excited to represent Osano’s people, products, and ideals.

If you have a clear understanding of brand, campaign, and marketing strategies, we would love to talk to you about expanding Osano’s digital presence through story-telling and insights.

Osano is an Austin area, venture-backed startup focused on creating transparency in data. We’re a B-corp (public benefit corp), which means that, although we are a for-profit company, we are mission-oriented, and we wake up every morning with the goal of doing well by doing good.

The Role

  • Develop a content strategy to drive interest, awareness, intent, revenue, engagement, and retention.
  • Build a framework for brainstorming, creating, and distributing persona-based and SEO-driven content at scale.
  • Map ideal customer profiles and personas to content strategy to successfully execute against sales pipeline goals.
  • Work with internal and external thought leaders to coordinate and optimize content.
  • Write engaging + tailored content that converts across all stages of the customer journey.
  • Track + optimize content performance across all channels and own the impact of content on traffic, qualified leads, and customer wins.
  • Serve as a point of feedback on content created by others to ensure Osano’s brand and voice are well-represented.
  • Manage contract writers to supply a robust and ongoing pipeline of content.
  • Collaborate with internal and external thought leaders to stay informed of privacy trends, legislature, and shifts.

About You

  • You bring 3+ years of content strategy experience, preferably in a B2B SaaS company or tech startup.
  • You have a background in content strategy, particularly in creating + maintaining editorial calendars, style guides, taxonomies, and metadata frameworks.
  • You bring a high level of organization and an analytical mindset; you know how to use data to inform a campaign strategy.
  • You’re able to direct contract writers while also being a compelling editorial writer in your own right.
  • You’re detail-oriented, committed to delivering high-quality content, even with tight deadlines, and comfortable with the ambiguity of a startup environment.
  • You understand demand gen funnels, mechanics, and conversations.
  • You have strong opinions about how to measure content success and can share examples of achieving pipeline metrics via content strategy.
  • You have expertise in SEO, HubSpot (or comparable CRM), Google Analytics, and other marketing tactics + tools.
  • You’re highly resourceful and can overcome obstacles with positivity, creativity, and grit.
  • You’re a builder and motivated by contributing to processes, messaging, and market insights.
  • Lastly, you should thrive in a remote environment – for us, that means being empathetic, proactively communicating, and bringing ingenuity and initiative every day.
