Produce a variety and steady stream of provocative, expert-level thought leadership content on behalf of our SMEs/KOLs, mostly focused on blogs, podcasts, articles, ebooks, white papers, and other content.
Might also be called upon to produce and/or support other forms of expert marketing content, including presentation scripts/talking points, brochures, fact sheets, video scripts, talking points, emails, social media posts, and press releases.
Review and edit content produced by the content marketing team to help ensure content quality.
Manage the personal day-to-day flow of copy for a busy thought leadership content operation, in collaboration with the project manager(s) and other members of the content marketing team.
Develop, manage podcast editorial calendar and pipeline.
Develop, manage blog editorial calendar and pipeline.
Work with marketing leaders and SMEs to develop story ideas, topics for assigned SMEs/KOLs.
Collaborate with other writers throughout research, writing, and production (staff and contractor).
Interview marketers, SMEs, and other sources whose input drives content narratives.
Research topics to support claims and assertions with citations to third-party sources.
Resolve legal, marketing, SME, and other editorial comments, tracked changes, and reviewer’s inputs on content revisions during the review process.
Edit to ensure copy meets quality and brand standards.
Edit copy from other writers to ensure copy meets quality and brand standards.
Coordinate with design, research, web, and marketing teams on production.
Collaborate with other internal and contract writers.
Report out on content project pipeline, statuses
Ability to remain organized and manage in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment.
What You Need
Minimum of ten years of recent executive-level writing experience.
Strong portfolio of samples showcasing provocative thought leadership across content types described above.
Expert writer, communicator, and editor, with strong attention to detail.
Prefer a background in healthcare or business journalism, blogging, and/or copywriting.
Prefer experience covering U.S. healthcare, healthcare IT, healthcare reimbursement.
Experience in research design and report writing is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; technology and/or healthcare degree a plus; advanced degree a plus.
Experience in the development, management, and successful execution of content strategies is a plus.
Creative thinker who can work with our SMEs/KOLs to shape original, provocative, compelling storylines.
Self-motivated, flexible problem solver, who can keep the wheels turning (managing the routine) but can also adapt quickly and find alternative ways to get work done.
Ability to act as a trusted, strategic communications adviser to top executives, SMEs, colleagues, other professionals.
Experience in collaborating with and managing the expectations of senior business leaders is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple writing and other production projects and deliver on deadline in a fast-paced environment.
Skilled with Google Workspace platform, Zoom, Asana, Confluence, Jira, Zoho, other common remote working tools.
