Piper Companies is on the lookout for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Managed Ansible on Cloud team. This role offers a flexible work environment, allowing you to work remotely or from one of our many global offices. The ideal candidate will have a self-starter mentality and a passion for automation and continuous improvement. MUST be a US Citizen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain software to automatically provision, upgrade, monitor, and heal Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform managed applications in Azure.
- Write Ansible automation playbooks to reduce toil.
- Support the operations of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform by responding to and troubleshooting system alerts.
Qualifications:
- Strong Ansible and CI/CD experience
- Must have Red Hat OpenStack Platform experience
- Software development experience using a general-purpose language. Python or GoLang are a plus.
- Linux administration experience. Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, or Fedora
- Kubernetes administration.
- Understanding of computer networking including DNS.
- Basic knowledge of software development life cycle tools, like GitHub and Jenkins.
- Software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile or scrum processes.
Compensation:
- Annual salary: $125,000 – $175,000
