About GitLab
Iterate faster, innovate together: Our DevOps platform is a single app for unparalleled development velocity.
At GitLab, our team of technical writers is responsible for ensuring that the documentation for all of our products is clear, correct, comprehensive, and easy to use. The Technical Writing team manages the docs.gitlab.com site and its content, processes, and tooling.
As a Technical Writer at GitLab, youβll collaborate with Engineers, who typically write the first draft of docs for the new features they create. Youβll dive in on special projects, planning and authoring new content and helping craft new doc site features and processes. Youβll collaborate with others across the organization to help them contribute to the documentation. Youβll be at the leading edge of DevSecOps while contributing to one of the worldβs largest open-source projects and engaging with our wider community.
Thanks to our Transparency value, you can see what we are working on in our Documentation Roadmap epic. You can also listen to Technical Writing team members talking about what itβs like to be a Technical Writer at GitLab in this video.
Please note that we welcome interest from candidates with varying levels of experience; many successful candidates do not meet every single requirement. Additionally, studies have shown that people from underrepresented groups are less likely to apply to a job unless they meet every single qualification. If you’re excited about this role, please apply and allow our recruiters to assess your application.
The base salary range for this roleβs listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only.
