This role is responsible for managing the accounting of banking transactions for the University, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes. The position coordinates the posting of accounting transactions, facilitates reconciliations for the University’s general bank accounts, and collaborates with various departments to ensure proper accounting of bank transactions. Additionally, this role provides guidance, assists with inquiries, and researches discrepancies to support financial accuracy. The position also plays a key role in preparing financial accounting entries and reports, contributing to the overall integrity and transparency of the University’s financial operations.
This position is fully remote.

Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
- HS Diploma / GED
- 4+ years of accounting or financial industry related experience
Skills needed:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in business applications, especially spreadsheets
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships
- Provide a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a team and support change, growth, and flexibility in the organization
- Capable of taking initiative, assuming responsibility, working independently, and contributing in a team environment
What is helpful:
- Knowledge of banking and accounting for bank activity
- Experience working with non-profit or higher education
- Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
