Job Description

Oppurtunity

We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable professional to join us in a dynamic position that plays a vital role in both local Swedish financial operations and global reporting efforts. This cross-functional role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with teams focused on compliance, accounting, and external reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in preparing K3 statutory annual reports with a desire to develop into group reporting. This role reports directly to the Director of Accounting, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the SVP of Finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of preparing and filing local financial statements (K3) and related disclosures, in collaboration with auditors and external consultants.
  • Support the tax team with annual tax filings for Swedish entities, working closely with designated external advisors.
  • Oversee and review the monthly close process, contributing where needed to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform thorough reviews of balance sheet notes, providing input on key accounts as necessary.
  • Contribute to interim and year-end audits, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of assigned materials.
  • Manage, support, and develop the local accountant to ensure all accounting tasks are completed on time and regulatory compliance is maintained.
  • Assist with the execution of the major parts of interim – monthly and quarterly as well as the annual external reporting including any preliminary announcements
  • Assist the reporting team with the multi-currency IFRS consolidation process and monthly management reporting for the Group
  • Handle non-complex technical aspects of the Group’s financial statements
  • Ensure all reporting aligns with statutory and regulatory requirements, including audits and disclosures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with local finance teams, auditors, and external advisors to gather, analyse, and consolidate financial data.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects, providing support to both the Group finance and business unit finance teams

Qualifications

  • Qualified Public accountant/economist. Post-qualification experience in a Group function or a listed company being a clear advantage.
  • Proven experience in Swedish company reporting, with a strong background in leadership by expertise and example.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet tight deadlines
  • Advanced proficiency in finance systems – NetSuite and Aaro a clear advantage – and advanced Excel, with the ability to manipulate and present complex financial data.
  • Knowledge of Swedish statutory accounts and relevant disclosure requirements, with a solid understanding of IFRS being an advantage.
  • Confident and effective communicator, capable of building relationships and presenting financial information in Swedish and English clearly and concisely
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a keen interest in taking ownership of projects and responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
  • Professional qualification in accounting/finance
  • Min. 5 year’s experience in qualified accounting roles
  • Native Swedish language, and fluent in English, spoken and written
