The Information Security Compliance Specialist ensures Intelerad maintains compliance with international privacy and security standards, including ISO 27001, SOC 2, and related frameworks. This role identifies and addresses potential security and privacy risks, strengthens systems and processes, and supports both internal and external audits. The specialist also leads initiatives that improve Intelerad’s overall security posture and coordinate client security questionnaires completion.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor, interpret, and apply evolving security and privacy regulations (ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, NIST 800-53, etc.).
Ensure ISMS policies and procedures remain compliant and effective.
Drive security awareness by creating and delivering training content across the company.
Conduct internal verifications to confirm adherence to ISMS processes and identify process gaps.
Lead or support internal and external audits, coordinating corrective and preventive actions.
Partner with teams to identify risks and implement security and privacy improvements.
Coordinate and complete client Security Questionnaires, acting as a subject matter expert for ISMS questions.
Implement process changes in response to new security or privacy requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Business, or related field (or equivalent certification).
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a security-focused role.
Strong knowledge of ISO 27001 and/or SOC 2 frameworks.
Experience in IT, software development, medical technology, and/or cloud hosting environments.
Formal training in security and privacy practices.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Highly organized and project-focused with excellent teamwork and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare IT or medical imaging environments.
Additional certifications in cybersecurity, audit, or compliance (e.g., CISA, CISM, CISSP).
Familiarity with risk management tools and GRC platforms.

The base pay for this position ranges from $60,000 to $80,000/yr CAD. Pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Intelerad is a total compensation company. Pay is dependent on the position offered. Bonus and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, retirement, PTO, and/or other benefits.
