Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Sales and Lead Generation Specialist to help grow our client base in the construction industry. This role combines detailed research with outbound sales efforts, focused on engaging senior decision-makers (CXOs, VPs, and Directors) at construction firms. The successful candidate will begin by building highly targeted prospect lists within specific construction sub-sectors that align with the company’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). Once the foundation is set, the Sales & Lead Generation Specialist will transition into outbound calling campaigns, aiming to secure qualified appointments with executives who influence purchasing decisions. Given the unique nature of the construction industry—where executives are often on job sites or traveling—the successful hire will need to be strategic in both timing and messaging. Calls will be concentrated from Monday to Thursday, while Fridays are dedicated to research and prospecting to ensure a steady pipeline of fresh leads. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with the CEO, who has extensive experience building offshore teams, and to play a direct role in expanding the company’s presence in the U.S. construction market.

Key Responsibilities (1st month – lead generation)

  • Build high-quality prospect lists through research and data enrichment.
  • Conduct research using tools like Apollo and Scaleist to build targeted prospect lists.
  • Identify the right construction sub-sectors aligned with the company’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
  • Validate contact information, ensuring accurate and up-to-date phone numbers and emails.
  • Identify 2–3 key decision-makers (e.g., CXOs, senior executives) per company.

Key Responsibilities (2nd month – outbound sales)

  • Execute outbound calling campaigns to secure qualified appointments with decision-makers.
  • Engage prospects with a professional, consultative approach to build trust and interest.
  • Document all activities, calls, and outcomes in the CRM (HubSpot).

Ongoing Activities

  • Dedicate Fridays to lead research and prospecting (due to lower call effectiveness in the construction industry).
  • Participate in 2x weekly check-ins with the CEO for alignment, performance review, and strategy updates.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to continuously refine targeting, messaging, and approach.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in sales development, lead generation, or outbound prospecting (construction industry experience is a plus but not required).
  • Strong research and data validation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Comfortable with outbound calling and engaging with senior executives.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) and sales enablement platforms like Apollo.
  • Mindset: Proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Other: Comfortable working U.S. hours
