Digital Verification Engineer – 6-Month Contract

We are seeking an experienced Digital Verification Engineer to lead the verification of a large mixed-signal ASIC as part of a short-term design project.

This 6-month contract role is dedicated to digital functional verification of an existing design nearing completion. You’ll bring strong hands-on expertise in testbench development, simulation, and debugging, working in a fast-paced environment with occasional travel to our Oxford headquarters.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Creating and executing comprehensive verification plans, using methodologies such as constrained random and formal verification.
  • Developing and maintaining verification infrastructure including testbenches, test cases, and verification components.
  • Writing and executing test cases to validate RTL functionality.
  • Collaborating closely with RTL designers to quickly identify, root-cause, and resolve issues.
  • Running and maintaining regressions, providing regular results and progress reports.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years’ hands-on experience in digital ASIC verification.
  • Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM for functional verification.
  • Solid understanding of digital logic, RTL design, and verification principles.
  • Experience with industry-standard simulation tools (preferably Cadence Xcelium).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash for automation and workflow optimisation.
  • Highly detail-oriented, adaptable, and effective in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to document work clearly and accurately.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently and meeting tight deadlines.

Desirable

  • Experience verifying the digital components of large mixed-signal ASICs.
  • This is an excellent opportunity to make an immediate impact on a critical project, applying your verification expertise in a collaborative and innovative setting.
  • We welcome applications from all qualified candidates and will assess every applicant based on their skills, experience, and ability to perform the role.
