About Homeward

Homeward takes the “what ifs” out of homebuying by creating financial products that give buyers and sellers certainty and convenience. We’re a fast-paced, remote-first real estate startup that partners with real estate agents to offer innovative products and services, helping clients buy with cash, sell with certainty, and time their move, regardless of the market.

Founder and CEO Tim Heyl, owner of one of the fastest-growing agent teams in the country, started Homeward in 2018 to fix the antiquated and broken real estate process. Today, we offer bundled cash offers, mortgage, and title services in 13 states, enabling buyers and sellers to move with certainty and convenience.

We’re a fully remote company with a diverse team spread across several countries – Grounded in three core values: The Golden Rule, One Team One Dream, and Calm Focus. Hear from our employees about what our values mean to them.

About The Opportunity

As a fast-growing leader in the residential home reselling space, we are seeking a highly organized and experienced Repairs Manager to oversee our multi-national team of repair coordinators and manage the end-to-end execution of residential repair projects. This role is crucial in ensuring timely and high-quality repair work across a large volume of properties nationwide.

You’ll play a pivotal role in vendor coordination, budget tracking, repair scheduling, and quality assurance, all while leading a distributed team across the U.S., Mexico, and India. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a strong background in residential real estate and construction, and are passionate about driving operational excellence, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact at a rapidly scaling company that’s reshaping the residential real estate landscape. If you’re ready to lead a high-performing team and drive repair excellence nationwide, we’d love to connect.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and manage a remote team of Repair Coordinators operating across multiple time zones (U.S., Mexico, India).
  • Oversee the repair process lifecycle, including project scoping, ordering, vendor coordination, scheduling, budget management, status tracking, and invoice reconciliation.
  • Monitor and manage repair pipelines, enforce SOPs, and maintain consistent internal communication.
  • Support vendor management, including onboarding, performance monitoring, and ongoing relationship development with local and regional contractors.
  • Negotiate budgets and pricing with vendors to ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure homes are market-ready on time and within budget.
  • Ensure accurate and timely scheduling of repairs by coordinating with vendors, contractors, and internal team members.
  • Onboard new vendors efficiently, collecting necessary documentation (W-9s, liability waivers, insurance info, etc.) and ensuring compliance.
  • Address and resolve vendor issues, escalations, or repair delays by partnering with internal & external teams.
  • Deliver regular reporting on project timelines, costs, and challenges, providing insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support ad-hoc repair and maintenance projects as needed.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience managing teams within the real estate, property management and construction sectors.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in property management, residential repair coordination and/or residential construction operations.
  • Deep understanding of residential construction methods and means across various U.S. regions.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Salesforce, construction management platforms, and scheduling systems.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a sharp attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and contractors.
  • Problem-solver with the ability to independently manage issues and drive solutions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and results-driven environment.

Perks & Benefits:

  • Compensation: $75,000.00 base salary, and ~$25,000 variable compensation
  • Remote-first environment (our headquarters are in Austin, TX)
  • Exciting stock option grant for every full-time employee
  • 401(k) employer contribution match

Value-Driven Employee Experience

THE GOLDEN RULE. It’s simple: Treat others the way we want to be treated. Whether we’re dealing with colleagues or customers, we don’t prioritize money or growth over people, and we practice empathy at every opportunity.

CALM FOCUS. We work in tech and build solutions for real estate. Both are fast-paced and stressful industries. But by focusing on the larger objective rather than rushing from one task to the next, we can create solutions our customers love.

ONE TEAM, ONE DREAM. Big problems require big solutions. We look at our customers’ experiences holistically and recognize that solving them requires collaboration across teams and our three affiliate companies — Homeward, Homeward Mortgage and Homeward Title.
