The Opportunity

As the Director of Talent Acquisition – North America, you will lead a high-performing recruiting team responsible for building world-class talent pipelines across software development, technology operations, data science, AI, cyber security, and corporate services functions including legal, finance and HR. What You’ll Contribute

  • Leadership & Strategy: Lead, coach, and inspire the Americas Talent Acquisition team to achieve hiring goals across multiple business units and functions.

  • Recruiter Alignment: Assign recruiters to requisitions based on business priorities, workload balance, and expertise. Provide ongoing guidance to recruiters on process execution, candidate management, and offer preparation.

  • Hiring Excellence: Partner with senior business and HR leaders to forecast workforce needs and design hiring strategies that deliver top talent in areas including product, technology, analytics, cloud, cybersecurity, and corporate operations.

  • Process & Compliance Oversight: Ensure recruiting processes are consistently applied and aligned with FICO standards. Maintain accurate requisition data, particularly around budgeting and headcount planning.

  • Technology Optimization: Leverage and optimize recruiting technologies, including Workday, LinkedIn, and other tools to improve efficiency, candidate experience, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Vendor & Contract Management: Oversee relationships with external recruiting partners, manage vendor contracts, and ensure effective usage and renewal of third-party recruiting support.

  • Employer Branding & Candidate Experience: Champion FICO’s employer value proposition to attract a broadly diverse, high-caliber talent audience. Ensure a seamless and engaging experience for candidates at every stage of the hiring journey. Ensure decisions closely align job requirements with candidate profiles while avoiding prohibited biases.

  • Operational Excellence: Establish recruiting metrics, reporting, and best practices to monitor effectiveness and continuously improve performance.

  • Collaboration & Influence: Build trusted partnerships with executive stakeholders, influencing talent decisions with market insights, competitive intelligence, and analytics.

What We’re Seeking

  • Technology Hiring Expertise: A proven track record of successfully hiring across domains such as software engineering, analytics, cyber security, cloud, and corporate operations.

  • People Leadership: Experience leading, scaling, and developing high-performing recruiting teams; skilled at fostering engagement, accountability, and growth.

  • Operational Rigor: Skilled in aligning recruiters to requisitions, ensuring accurate data and budgets, guiding offer processes, and managing recruiting vendors.

  • Strategic & Execution Balance: Ability to set vision, design strategy, and deliver results in a fast-paced, complex environment.

  • Process & Technology Orientation: Strong understanding of recruiting systems, processes, and data analytics. Hands-on experience with Workday or similar HRMS is highly preferred.

  • Executive Presence: Confidence in engaging with senior leadership, influencing decisions, and driving talent outcomes.

  • Business Acumen: Ability to connect talent acquisition strategies to organizational priorities and business outcomes.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable managing ambiguity, shifting priorities, and evolving business needs.

  • The targeted base pay range for this role is: $105,000 to $165,000 with this range reflecting differences in candidate knowledge, skills and experience.
