I use a trauma-informed approach, assess presenting concerns, risk, strengths, history, and treatment goals, then document findings and recommend an appropriate level of care.

How do you ensure culturally responsive care when working with Mandarin-speaking clients?

I use professional Mandarin appropriate to the client’s background and avoid assuming that literal translation conveys the same clinical meaning.
