I would define a clear problem statement, success metric, non-negotiable constraints, and the smallest testable user flow. Using an AI coding assistant responsibly, I can create a functional prototype or limited implementation, validate it with engineers and users, document assumptions, and ensure production changes meet engineering, security, and financial-control standards.

What KPIs would you use to measure the success of a billing product area?

I would use a balanced set of outcome and operational metrics: invoice accuracy, time to invoice, payment success rate, days sales outstanding, dispute and credit rates, billing-related support volume, adoption of self-service capabilities, and engineering reliability indicators. Metrics should be segmented by customer type, geography, product, and payment method to reveal where the experience is breaking down.

How do you maintain alignment and momentum while working asynchronously across functions and time zones?

In an asynchronous environment, I provide concise written context before decisions are needed: the problem, evidence, options, recommendation, owners, deadlines, and open questions. I maintain transparent documentation and decision logs, invite targeted feedback, and reserve synchronous discussions for ambiguity, conflict resolution, or high-consequence decisions.

## What this job can offer you

This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as a Product Manager, joining our Product team in the Fintech vertical. As a Billing Platform Product Manager, you will be a key member of our triad of product managers in the billing team, each leading their independent teams yet working within an interconnected scope.

As a Product Manager at Remote, you’ll be developing and guiding our strategy for a key product area in Finance. You’ll advance this vision by working with a cross-functional engineering and design group to find our most important problems and shape iterative solutions towards them.

## What you bring

* Prior experience as product manager in billing / invoicing or similar, ideally at a high-growth company
* Proficiency in Cursor and/or Claude Code or similar tool. You must be able to autonomously build, debug, and ship functional prototypes or small code changes with the help of AI tooling, not just write specs.
* Great judgment making both strategic (what to prioritize) and tactical (feature scope) decisions
* Demonstrable, self-driven results that have moved a product in the right direction
* A passion for creating seamless and effective products, even when the challenges they address are complex and intricate.
* Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, including across different departments (e.g. business operations, sales, etc.) to ensure that we’re satisfying critical business requirements
* Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
* Bonus: Experience working in a remote environment.

* Understand key business KPIs and align your team’s work and metrics to directly improve to these
* Work together with engineers, designers and stakeholders to build solutions to important complex problems

* Communicate and collaborate internally and externally
Contribute to the Product org by sharing your techniques, processes, and learnings
* Communicate and promote the work of your team and why it matters to customers and internal teams
* Work asynchronously and transparently
