I prioritize fast feedback for pull requests, separate longer-running regression suites when appropriate, and ensure failures provide actionable logs, traces, screenshots, and clear ownership.

When would you choose unit, integration, or end-to-end tests?

I use unit tests for fast validation of isolated business logic and edge cases, integration tests to verify contracts among components such as services, databases, and APIs, and end-to-end tests only for critical user journeys. This balanced test pyramid provides broad confidence without making delivery dependent on a large, slow, fragile UI suite.

How would you use AI tools such as Copilot or Claude in test automation while protecting quality?

I would use AI to accelerate repetitive test scaffolding, generate edge-case ideas, refactor test utilities, and help interpret failures. However, I would validate all generated code against product behavior, maintain team conventions, avoid exposing sensitive data, and treat AI output as a reviewed starting point rather than an authoritative solution.
