I would also test failure paths such as interrupted transactions, network loss, duplicate events, account changes, and version upgrades. How do you approach a technical problem when you need to work independently in a remote environment? I first clarify the desired customer outcome, constraints, and success metrics, then break the work into a proposed design and incremental deliverables. I communicate the plan early, document key decisions, seek input on high-risk assumptions, and provide visible progress updates while independently driving implementation to completion. How would you decide whether a feature belongs in a native SDK versus a cross-platform or server-driven interface? I would evaluate the feature's platform-specific requirements, performance needs, release cadence, consistency requirements, and developer integration cost. Native implementation is preferable for deep platform behavior and responsiveness, while cross-platform or server-driven approaches can be effective when consistency and rapid iteration outweigh platform-specific customization. We’re in 50%+ of newly shipped subscription apps, we process $16B+ in annual purchase volume, and we help everyone from a solo developer to the OpenAI mobile team understand and grow their revenue. We’re a remote-first team of 150+ people across 25+ countries, guided by values we actually practice: Customer Obsession, Always Be Shipping, Own It, and Balance. This isn’t the right fit for everyone. The systems you’ll build here manage billions of dollars and touch hundreds of millions of end users, and we don’t take that lightly. You’ll be expected to work hard and hold a high bar for what you ship, alongside some of the sharpest, most driven people you’ve worked with. If that sounds energizing rather than exhausting, keep reading. ### The Role We are looking for a Senior SDK Engineer to join our team to help design, build, ship, and support end-to-end features and products that will help developers make more money. We want to bring somebody onboard that is product focused, customer focused, and passionate about building mobile SDKs with a great developer experience. This role will primarily focus on either our iOS or Android SDK (depending on your core experience), but also requires contributions to our other platform + hybrid SDKs, from time to time. Experience in these other platforms is not a requirement but the desire and excitement to work on them is. ### About you: * You have 8+ years of experience in software, and have shipped mobile apps to Apple App Store or Google Play Store * You are very experienced in Swift and Swift UI (iOS) or Java/Kotlin and Compose UI (Android) * You are not afraid of iOS, Android, cross platform, or hybrid platforms. * You love making products for developers. * You love shipping good products. * You have deep empathy for customers. * You know how to ship high quality code using good testing practices in iterative cycles. * You collaborate well with others and can communicate effectively in a fully-remote culture. * You are proactive.
