I would convert the use case into clear task definitions, decision rules, examples, and edge-case guidance. I would use finance-qualified reviewers, calibration rounds, blinded audits, inter-annotator agreement measures, and targeted error analysis. The standards would be revised as pilot findings reveal recurring ambiguities or model-specific failure modes. How would you manage competing priorities among a customer, AI researchers, and global delivery teams? I would create a shared plan that makes objectives, dependencies, decision owners, and trade-offs explicit. Regular milestone reviews and concise risk reporting would keep each group aligned, while I would escalate decisions quickly when scope, quality, timeline, or cost targets conflict. My goal would be to preserve the core learning objective of the pilot without creating unmanageable operational complexity. What risks are especially important in finance-focused AI data projects, and how would you mitigate them? Key risks include inaccurate or stale financial information, unclear data rights, inconsistent expert judgments, confidential-information exposure, and workflows that cannot scale economically. I would mitigate these through source and rights validation, rigorous version control, detailed reviewer rubrics, appropriate data-handling controls, pilot-based capacity testing, and predefined quality and cost thresholds. Appen’s Strategic Project Management team is central to the company’s growth strategy, partnering with leading AI companies and frontier model developers to deliver the data that makes models work. As Strategic Project Lead – Finance, you will run strategic finance pilots and research projects for financial AI model training and evaluation, from initial scoping through to operationalization. This is a hands-on role bridging customer objectives, financial expertise, and Appen’s global delivery capability. ### Your Impact You’ll own the success of frontier financial AI pilots, turning emerging use cases into validated programs that meet defined standards for financial quality, feasibility, and cost. You will shape how market data, financial statements, filings, disclosures, and quantitative and risk models are used for model training and evaluation.
