How do you decide what regression tests must run before a release when time is limited? I use a risk-based approach focused on changed components, critical user journeys, high-volume workflows, recent defect areas, and key integrations. I communicate residual risk clearly, execute the highest-value tests first, and ensure any deferred coverage is visible and tracked. How do you work effectively with engineers and product managers to improve quality before testing begins? I engage during refinement and planning to clarify acceptance criteria, identify edge cases, review dependencies, and highlight testability or observability gaps. By raising risks early and agreeing on measurable quality expectations, I help the team prevent defects rather than only detect them late in the cycle. Opportunity details ## About this role. The Role We Need: PadSplit is hiring a QA Engineer to strengthen quality across our Marketplace pod, spanning Mobile (iOS/Android), Web, and backend Platform systems. As our product complexity increases, we need someone who can independently validate cross-platform user flows, reduce production risk, and increase release confidence through disciplined, hands-on testing. The Person We Are Looking For: We’re looking for a proactive, technically fluent QA Engineer who thrives in a dynamic startup environment and takes ownership of product quality.
