I communicate clearly, use structured documentation, arrange appropriate investigations or in-person assessment when needed, and provide a concise follow-up plan that the patient can understand. How would you contribute to a multidisciplinary team involving nurses and pharmacists? I would value their input in pre-consultation preparation, medication reconciliation, education, follow-up, and safety monitoring. I would communicate clear prescribing rationale and escalation criteria, remain available for complex clinical decisions, and use shared feedback to improve patient pathways and governance. By the time they reach us, many have run out of road with conventional treatment. You could be the clinician that changes that. We are Montu UK, one of the UK’s largest medical cannabis clinics, and we are looking for Consultant Neurologists to join our clinical team. About the role You will assess and manage patients exploring cannabis based medicines, making the clinical call on whether treatment is appropriate and managing their care from there. This is still a young field. The evidence base is growing, best practice is being written in real time, and you will have a genuine hand in shaping it. You do not need experience with cannabis based medicines. You need sound clinical judgement, an open mind and an interest in doing things differently. We provide full specialist training, and our multidisciplinary model means you are never working in isolation. Nurses and pharmacists handle pre consultation and follow up tasks, so your time is spent where it matters: with patients.
