After shipping an initial version, I use production feedback and operational data to iterate deliberately. What practices do you use to make continuous deployment safe for backend changes? I rely on automated unit, integration, and contract tests; code review; feature flags; backward-compatible API and database migrations; and monitoring tied to user-facing service-level indicators. I deploy incrementally when possible and ensure that rollback procedures are understood before release. For higher-risk changes, I use staged rollouts and validate behavior with dashboards, logs, and alerts. How would you collaborate with product and design while maintaining strong engineering standards? I involve partners early to clarify the customer problem and identify technical constraints before implementation is locked in. I communicate trade-offs in accessible language, document important decisions, and suggest phased solutions when speed and long-term maintainability conflict.
