I would also highlight trade-offs made with Product and how I monitored the feature after launch. How do you design a scalable Node.js backend service using PostgreSQL? I begin with clear domain boundaries and API contracts, then design normalized data models and indexes around expected query patterns. I use connection pooling, pagination, transactions where consistency matters, observability, and query analysis to address bottlenecks before scaling infrastructure. How have you used AI tools in your daily engineering workflow? I use AI tools to accelerate routine tasks such as drafting tests, exploring unfamiliar code, generating documentation outlines, and reviewing implementation alternatives. I validate all outputs through code review, automated testing, security checks, and my own understanding rather than treating generated code as authoritative. What practices would you apply when building software for a HIPAA-regulated healthcare product? I would minimize protected health information exposure, enforce least-privilege access, encrypt data in transit and at rest, maintain audit logging, and follow secure development and incident-response practices. I would also partner with security and compliance stakeholders to ensure architectural and vendor decisions meet applicable requirements. How do you balance speed and quality in a 0-to-1 product environment? I identify the smallest reliable solution that validates the core user need, make assumptions explicit, and use instrumentation to learn quickly after release. I protect critical areas such as security, data integrity, and observability while deferring nonessential abstraction until product signals justify it. Opportunity details ## About this role.
