This allows the team to ship value quickly without normalizing avoidable reliability risks. You need to learn Ruby for a team whose services use it heavily. How would you become productive quickly? I would first learn the team’s conventions, service architecture, test tooling, and deployment workflow, then complete small production-safe changes with close code review. As a Backend Engineer, you’ll support one of our three verticals – Demand, Supply, or Fulfilment – improving and delivering product innovations for our platform.
