I would explain the customer context, the technical risk preventing progress, and the stakeholders involved. I would describe how I structured troubleshooting, engaged the appropriate product or support experts, validated an architecture or workaround, and communicated progress clearly until the customer had confidence to proceed. What factors are most important when designing secure recovery for workloads across AWS, Azure, and on-premises environments? Key factors include workload criticality, recovery objectives, data classification, backup immutability, network segmentation, identity and privileged-access controls, encryption, isolated recovery environments, and regular recovery testing. The design should also account for operational ownership, monitoring, cost, and a documented process for validating that recovered systems are safe to return to production.
