I would then make targeted improvements and confirm the result with repeatable performance measurements. How do you communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders? I frame options around user impact, delivery time, operational risk, accessibility, and long-term maintenance rather than implementation details alone. We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our CMS team, building the APIs and interfaces that power tools helping shape healthcare policy for millions of Americans. What you’ll be doing: * Build and maintain user interfaces using React and TypeScript * Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs in Go * Consume and interact with GraphQL APIs via Apollo Client * Collaborate across frontend and backend to shape data endpoints and API contracts * Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code that other engineers enjoy working with * Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and Agile ceremonies * Ensure interfaces meet federal accessibility standards including Section 508 and WCAG What you’ll bring: * Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript on the frontend * Experience building backend services in Go * Experience with GraphQL and Apollo Client * Solid understanding of API design and how frontend and backend systems interact * Familiarity with Docker, Git, and Cypress or similar testing frameworks * Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases is a plus * Comfortable working in a federal or regulated environment * Thrives in a remote, collaborative Agile environment and genuinely enjoys working closely with a cross-functional team * Communicates clearly and openly, whether in a code review or a conversation with a non-technical stakeholder * Performs other related duties as assigned Requirements: * Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
