Where uncertainty remains, I would propose a focused experiment or prototype to generate evidence quickly, while preserving trust and shared accountability for the decision. What metrics would you use to assess whether a payments design strategy is succeeding? I would combine customer, operational, and business measures, such as successful payment completion, error and support-contact rates, time to complete key tasks, customer satisfaction, accessibility outcomes, adoption of new capabilities, and retention. I would pair quantitative data with qualitative research to understand why outcomes are changing and where the experience still creates friction.
