I clarify the customer problem, success criteria, edge cases, and constraints early, then outline feasible implementation options with trade-offs. For significant uncertainty, I propose a time-boxed prototype or spike and share results in clear written form. This enables the team to make an informed scope decision before committing to a full implementation. How do you maintain quality while delivering quickly in a scaling engineering organization? I prioritize small, reviewable changes, automated tests at the appropriate levels, clear acceptance criteria, and incremental releases. I use peer review to improve correctness and share context, while relying on feature flags, monitoring, and rollback plans to reduce release risk.
