I prioritize user-facing SLIs such as availability, latency, error rate, and successful transaction or request rate, supported by saturation and dependency metrics. Alerts should be actionable, severity-based, tied to service objectives where possible, and supplemented by dashboards and logs that enable fast diagnosis.
