I would define likely competitors, assess their customer relationships, incumbency advantages, past performance, technical strengths, probable teaming arrangements, and pricing posture. The review would identify threats to our win probability and produce specific mitigation actions, such as stronger proof points, partner additions, solution adjustments, or targeted customer engagement. I would update the analysis as new intelligence becomes available. How do you keep executives informed about capture health without overwhelming them with detail? I use a concise, regular dashboard covering opportunity stage, probability of win, customer access, competitive risks, solution maturity, teaming status, pricing readiness, major decisions, and required executive actions. I focus discussion on material changes, risks, dependencies, and decisions that need leadership support. Supporting detail is available separately for the working team. How do you partner with engineering and program leaders to shape a winning technical solution? I establish an early shared understanding of the customer mission, evaluation criteria, operational constraints, and competitive environment. I facilitate structured solutioning sessions that connect technical choices to customer outcomes, delivery credibility, and discriminators. Throughout capture, I maintain clear owners, decision dates, and feedback loops so the solution remains feasible, compelling, and aligned with the proposal strategy. We’re looking for a Capture Manager to join our Growth team, owning the end-to-end capture strategy that turns pipeline opportunities into contract wins across Oddball’s federal portfolio. What you’ll be doing: * Lead full lifecycle capture efforts from qualification through post-submittal, with an emphasis on full and open opportunities * Develop and execute capture plans including win themes, discriminators, competitive positioning, and price-to-win strategy * Conduct competitive assessments including SWOT analyses and Black Hat reviews * Partner with Business Development, Program Management, and Engineering to qualify opportunities and shape winning solutions * Manage relationships with teaming partners and subcontractors throughout the capture process * Build and communicate pipeline status and bid health to executive leadership on a regular cadence * Leverage AI and modern capture tooling to accelerate research, competitive analysis, and solution development What you’ll bring: * Proven track record of full lifecycle capture wins on unrestricted federal acquisitions * Deep domain experience in VA, CMS, and/or DoD with strong customer relationships and mission understanding * Experience leading capture team activities across business development, solutions, pricing, and proposal teams * Strong understanding of federal acquisition strategies, contract vehicles, and government budgeting processes * Familiarity with key IT domains including Agile, cloud, DevSecOps, IT modernization, and data analytics * Experience with contract vehicles such as GSA MAS, CEDAR, SPRUCE, or similar IDIQs is a plus * Strong written and verbal communication skills — you can present a capture strategy to executives as clearly as you can write a win theme Requirements: * Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
