How would you approach the conversation? I would first identify the customer’s network topology, identity controls, encryption requirements, firewall process, data classification, and approved connectivity patterns. I would map those requirements to the supported deployment and connection options, clearly distinguish standard capabilities from gaps, and bring in security or product specialists where appropriate. My goal would be to create a documented, low-risk architecture that satisfies the customer without making unsupported commitments. How do you manage competing requests from multiple account executives during active enterprise sales cycles? I prioritize using deal stage, customer impact, technical risk, strategic importance, and time-sensitive commitments. I make priorities visible to account teams, define next steps and ownership for each opportunity, and reuse discovery assets or technical materials when possible. If conflicts arise, I escalate early with clear trade-offs rather than allowing important proof-of-value work to become reactive. Describe how you would position Fivetran alongside cloud warehouses, transformation tools, and BI platforms. I would position Fivetran as a reliable data movement layer that automates delivery of source data into the customer’s data ecosystem. The warehouse provides scalable storage and compute, transformation tooling such as dbt turns raw data into governed analytical models, and BI tools make those models usable by business teams. About the Role Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. We’re looking for a talented German speaking Senior Sales Engineer to join our Enterprise sales team. As an Enterprise Sales Engineer, you will work closely with our sales team to understand our Enterprise customers’ complex business needs and showcase how Fivetran’s data replication solutions can help them achieve their desired business outcomes. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise, identifying technical requirements, and ensuring a successful proof-of value throughout the sales cycle. This is a full-time remote position based in Germany, with preference for Munich.
