I map the existing reporting workflow, identify manual data handling and reconciliation risks, and standardize data sources, definitions, and review controls. I then automate repeatable calculations or dashboards through the planning system and ERP integrations, ensuring stakeholders receive timely reports with a clear audit trail. How would you present a recommendation to invest in a new product or growth initiative? I would develop a business case that outlines investment requirements, expected revenue and margin contribution, timing, scenario analysis, cash impact, risks, and measurable success criteria. I would present a concise recommendation tailored to leadership, clearly separating validated assumptions from areas requiring further testing. Opportunity details ## About this role. Dscout is currently hiring for an experienced Senior FP&A Analyst for an immediate need in AUSTIN, TX. This individual will report to the CFO and senior leadership and will be responsible for utilizing both quantitative and qualitative analyses of all operational aspects of the company in order to evaluate the company’s progress toward achieving its goals and to map out future goals and plans. This individual will play a critical role in considering economic and business trends, reviewing past company performance, and anticipating obstacles and potential issues, all with an eye toward forecasting the company’s future financial results. This person will work cross-functionally with other departments in the execution of the role’s duties. What You Will Do at Dscout: * Create, update, and maintain financial models and detailed forecasts of the company’s future operations/ * Assess and track overall financial health, primarily by using key financial ratios common to SaaS companies and marketplace/ * Determine gross margin and net margin contributions of our products or product line/ * Examine and evaluate the cost-efficiency of each department, in light of what percentage of the company’s financial resources each department consumes. * Work with individual departments to prepare budgets and consolidate into the company’s overall corporate budget. * Compare historical operating results against budgets and forecasts, and perform variance analyses to explain differences in performance and make improvements going forward. * Consider opportunities for the company to expand or grow; map out growth plans, including capital expenditures and investments. * Evaluate new investments or products by looking at return on investment analyses. * Build monthly and quarterly reporting packages for senior management team and the Board of Directors. * Build relationships with peers and financial leaders across the organization.
