How do you maintain quality when working through a high volume of investigations? I prioritise cases by regulatory risk, potential customer harm, and reporting deadlines while using a consistent investigation framework. I keep detailed case notes, complete quality checks before closure, and escalate promptly when facts exceed my authority or specialist input is needed. How would you explain a financial-crime decision to a non-specialist operational colleague? I would explain the decision in plain language, focusing on the relevant risk indicators, the policy or regulatory rationale, and the next action required. I would avoid unnecessary jargon while ensuring the colleague understands both the practical outcome and why consistent controls are important.
