The choice depends on device constraints, ordering and retention needs, throughput, delivery guarantees, and the downstream processing model. How would you approach designing a governance and audit system for telemetry data? I would define data ownership, classification, retention, and access policies first, then make enforcement observable and auditable. Each access, policy decision, transformation, and administrative action should generate immutable audit events with tenant context. The system should support compliance requirements while allowing controlled interoperability across domains. How do you maintain engineering quality while leading a distributed team? I use clear architecture proposals, documented decisions, small reviewable changes, automated testing, and shared operational standards. Regular asynchronous updates and focused technical discussions help keep decisions transparent across time zones.
