This role will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity of our financial records, improving processes, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role is also open to applicants in Canada or Mexico. ### What You’ll Help Build Financial Reporting & General Ledger Management * Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. * Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes. * Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and classified. Accounts Reconciliation & Compliance * Perform monthly sales to cash receipts reconciliation * Perform monthly fulfillment information to sales order for revenue recognition * Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, inventory, and accruals. * Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies. * Support external audits and tax filings by providing necessary documentation and reports. Process Improvement & Internal Controls * Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations. * Assist in the development and enforcement of internal controls and best practices. Operational Accounting & Cross-Functional Support * Prepare cash burn reporting semi-monthly * Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. * Support inventory accounting, cost analysis, and revenue recognition. * Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and other teams to provide financial insights and support business decisions. Technology & Automation * Utilize and optimize ERP and accounting software (Netsuite experience preferred). * Support automation initiatives to streamline accounting workflows. ### What You’ll Need to Succeed * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). * 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a high-growth startup, consumer technology, or e-commerce environment. * Previous experience in public accounting. * Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles. * Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced proficiency in Excel. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with all levels of management. * Highly motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving business environment. * Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. ### Why join Eight Sleep?
