I would verify that the original regression is fixed in affected Firefox versions or builds, test representative unaffected scenarios, and compare behavior with other browsers where useful. I would add or update automated coverage when feasible, check for unintended scope from the intervention, and document the evidence in the bug report. How do you prioritize a long queue of incoming site-breakage reports? I would prioritize reports by user impact, reproducibility, severity, regression risk, and whether a small intervention can resolve a broadly used site. I would quickly close duplicates or non-actionable reports, group similar failures, and maintain clear status updates so the backlog becomes measurable and easier to process. You will help reduce Firefox’s WebCompat bug backlog by finishing or verifying the diagnosis of the long tail of site-breakage bugs, and by writing interventions or simple fixes (often with AI assistance).
