I start by categorizing datasets according to business criticality and freshness requirements rather than applying the same SLA everywhere. For critical operational data, I prioritize low-latency processing, observability, and robust recovery; for analytical workloads, I use incremental processing, partitioning, compaction, and scheduled compute. I regularly measure query patterns, compute utilization, storage growth, and pipeline runtime to target optimizations without weakening data controls. How would you communicate a technical data-quality issue to Mandarin-speaking business users? I would explain the business impact first in clear Mandarin, including which metric or report is affected, the time period, and the current level of confidence in the data. You’ll build the pipelines and data models that make exchange data reliable and useful for analytics, reporting, and day-to-day business decisions. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with a focus on platform engineering.
