This is a one-time, moderated remote usability-testing study for a financial technology application. The tester will join a live video call, share their device screen, complete a real money transfer, and provide verbal feedback on the experience. Applicants must be physically located in Germany or the Netherlands, have experience sending money to India, and must not have used Wise previously. The engagement requires approximately 1.5 hours and is suited to independent freelance testers with mobile and desktop devices. It involves handling a real transaction, following study protocols, and communicating clearly in English. ## Role DNA A quick view of the complexity, pace, ownership and collaboration implied by the job description. ### Job Complexity 2/5EasyHard ### Pace & Pressure 3/5RelaxedFast-paced ### Autonomy Level 3/5GuidedFull ownership ### Communication Load 5/5IndependentCollaborative AI insightThe technical workload is limited because this is a guided usability session rather than a complex QA assignment. However, participants must accurately articulate observations, follow live instructions, and complete a financial transfer carefully. ## Salary analysis Estimated compensation compared with the broader US market for similar roles. Estimated job median (per hour)Above market$100US market range (per hour)$30–$800$110.00 AI insightThe hourly pay period is inferred from the job context; it was not explicitly stated by the employer. The employer states that freelancers are paid by the hour and lists a pay rate of $100 USD; the hourly period is therefore used. The stated rate is above a typical estimated hourly range for freelance moderated usability testing, but it is plausible for a short, specialized fintech research study requiring qualifying payment-transfer experience. ## Core skills Skills and capabilities most closely associated with this opportunity. How would you provide useful feedback during a moderated usability test? I would think aloud as I complete each step, explain what I expect to happen, identify anything unclear or frustrating, and distinguish between a genuine defect and a confusing design choice. Are you comfortable completing a live test with your camera on and your screen shared? Yes. I am comfortable joining a live video call, sharing my screen, following the moderator's instructions, and protecting any sensitive information as directed during the session. How would you handle a step in the transfer flow that you do not understand? I would describe what I expected, explain why the current wording or interface is unclear, and attempt to proceed only as instructed by the moderator rather than making assumptions. What devices can you use for this study? I have access to a laptop or desktop computer and a smartphone, and I can ensure both devices are charged, connected to a stable internet connection, and ready before the scheduled session.
