How would you troubleshoot an edit check that is generating unexpected queries? I would reproduce the scenario using representative test data, review the check logic and field conditions, and confirm the intended clinical rule with data management. I would then isolate whether the issue is caused by configuration, data dependencies, or an unclear requirement, implement a controlled correction, and fully regression-test related checks. How do you manage several study builds while maintaining quality and timelines? I prioritize work by study milestones, patient-impact risk, release dependencies, and agreed service levels. I maintain a visible task plan, communicate early about risks or changing requirements, use reusable standards where appropriate, and protect time for peer review and documented testing rather than trading quality for speed. If you want to do meaningful work, build something real, and invest back in research that changes lives — we want to meet you! ### Job Overview As a Clinical Database Programmer (internally referred to as Database Programmer), you will support the development, testing and maintenance of Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems used in clinical trials. Working within a collaborative and innovative technical team, you will be involved in building clinical studies, developing electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs), configuring edit checks and supporting data integrations, primarily using Medidata Rave.
