I would review coverage, collection methodology, sampling bias, timeliness, consistency, and any changes in the underlying data-generation process. I would also back-test the dataset against historical company disclosures or trusted benchmarks, document limitations, and avoid making claims beyond what the data can reliably support. How would you prioritize research requests from clients, sales teams, and internal product stakeholders? I would prioritize based on investor relevance, expected customer impact, urgency, strategic fit, and the effort required to produce a high-quality answer. I would communicate trade-offs early, align stakeholders on the research question and deliverable, and preserve time for proactive work that can become scalable subscription research products.
