I prioritize high-leverage items with the team, reserve capacity for incremental remediation, and include maintainability improvements in feature work when they reduce recurring complexity. For larger initiatives, I define measurable outcomes, propose a staged plan, and communicate trade-offs clearly to stakeholders. What practices would you use to manage infrastructure and application changes safely with Terraform? I would keep infrastructure changes version controlled, reviewed, and validated through automated formatting, linting, security checks, and plan reviews. Environments should be isolated with clear state management, least-privilege access, reusable modules, and controlled promotion through CI/CD. I would also pair changes with monitoring, rollback or recovery procedures, and documentation for operational ownership. How do you provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers during agile development? I set clear engineering expectations through design discussions, code reviews, examples, and shared operational practices rather than simply assigning solutions. I tailor mentorship to the engineer’s experience, encourage ownership of bounded problems, and provide timely, actionable feedback. Position Summary Join the Middleware team as a Sr. Software Engineer and help us build a fault-resilient, highly available, and customer-centric platform. In this role you will work with the team to build a scalable and secure platform and build customer-facing features that enable security and engineering teams to stop threats in their place! Our team develops public REST APIs, solves database scalability challenges, implements data migrations, and enables configuration management across our fleet of services. The R(x) 360 Platform is built on AWS and GCP. It utilizes Terraform to define Infrastructure-as-Code and our services. This platform allows us to build native product and service integrations, first-class customer-facing workflows, and high throughput data pipelines. Our goal is to build a reliable platform for customer-facing services while encouraging healthy work-life balance via automated remediation and fault-tolerant designs.
